WITH THE ETSY 'PERFECT MATCH METHOD'

1️⃣ I SPOT PROVEN BESTSELLERS IN MY NICHE AND STUDY THE OFFER AND THEIR REVIEWS

👉 FIRST, you've got to determine what YOUR niche is. OR niche down.

THIS will make or... break your entire business.

If your Etsy store is struggling > you MUST niche down RIGHT NOW.

'Niche stores' are the FUTURE.

People who are solving ONE specific problem to a specific group of people.

Quick remember: Your niche IS NOT a product 'category', or a 'field'.

⛔️ Eg: 'Digital Marketing' is NOT a niche.
👉 BUT 'helping people to create their digital product suite' is.

⛔️ Eg: 'Fitness' is NOT a niche.
👉 BUT 'helping people to lose X kg using a calorie-deficient diet' is.

Your niche is YOU – solving a specific problem for people and delivering your solution... through small digital products, a service and/or bigger offer...

Solve ONE problem and offer loads of small solutions/tools for them on Etsy → You LITERALLY set your store for success... It's when people buy your products 10 by 10.

My own:

ONE rule first...

'We don't want to do NEW. We want to take what works. And do better.'

This is my mantra.

You never ever want to do completely NEW or even spend 18783763 hours creating from scratch without knowing that your idea is in demand.

You want to take what works for other sellers who have already tested and validated a demand...

BUT propose BETTER.

By adding value.

You want to take risks.

But CALCULATED risks.

Once you're getting consistent traffic and sales coming in from Etsy, that’s when you can start testing with more freedom and try out YOUR own ideas, new digital products.

The first step is extremely simple – I look for proven bestsellers in my niche...

You can spot bestsellers easily by looking for the 'Bestseller' badge on the left-hand side of a listing.

🤫 To rapidly spot bestsellers in your niche that are performing well, do the following secret nobody knows about:

👉 Search for a specific search term on 'Etsy Search Bar'
Eg: 'chair yoga'

👉 Then click on 'Star Seller'

👉 Then come up to the top and click on the URL.

👉 Scroll across and replace the word 'star' with 'best' and hit enter. This will then bring up lots of 'Bestseller' and 'Popular Now' products!

On Etsy, the 'Bestseller' badge is given to listings that consistently sell well compared to similar items in their category. It signals high demand and strong sales performance over a certain period.


Then, I study what’s working well/what doesn't in the listing.

I will check:

→ What the offer actually is
→ The deal they propose
→ The content
→ The design
→ How many pages there are
→ The visuals and mockups they use
→ What other listings they’re directly competing with closely
→ How the price is positioned
→ What keywords/SEO/wording they use in the title, tags and product description
→ The bonuses or extras included (if any)

→ Delivery format (instant download, zip files, instructions included)

→ How they handle variations or bundles (1 product vs. packs)

🚨 I also check what buyers are complaining about in the reviews.

This gives me a strong idea on what to add/remove to recreate a stronger and improved version that will provide value to the marketplace.

2️⃣ I THEN RECREATE MY OPTIMISED UNIQUE VERSIONS BY FILLING GAPS AND OFFERING BETTER

👉 Once I have a clear idea of what the original bestseller offer is, it's time for me to recreate it. BUT the idea isn't to 'replicate' the exact version...

BUT TO STAND OUT...

I rebuild the product and offer concept into a stronger, unique version – fixing what buyers were complaining about, adding more value, and fixing gaps...

I provide more value by:
→ Adding my own storytelling/experience/my own touch to it
→ Expanding the content with more depth, more volume, better/clearer content, extra tools/help and/or extra formats
→ Making the design maybe more professional or clearer...
→ Adding direct bonuses buyers would love
→ Improving the usability (better instructions, templates, or step-by-step guidance)

So I’m not 'recreating' the same but improving the offer from what's already wanted and needed by a specific audience in my niche...

3️⃣ I THEN BUILD FULLY OPTIMISED ETSY LISTINGS TO RANK FIRST AND CONVERT ABOVE 5% (min. 5 sales / 100 visits)

👉 Next, it's time to create a listing that will be optimised for:

→ views
→ clicks
→ and... conversions aka SALES. 🔥

And for this, I ALWAYS follow my very specific method called 'The Perfect Match Method'.

👉 What does Perfect Match Method™ actually mean?

It means my offer shows up as the exact specific match for what the buyer is searching for.

Not for a broad term like 'small business' (too vague search intent), but for a precise search like 'small business course to resellwhich means the buyer already knows exactly what they want.

🚨 You always want to go for specific keywords...
For clear, specific search intent.
Because that’s where the money is.

The people typing those exact searches aren’t just browsing… they’re READY TO BUY.


🚨 For example: if someone types in 'Canva Course PLR/MRR'

  • My thumbnail will clearly show those exact words.

  • The first long-tail keyword in my title will also match.

  • The very first sentence of my description will also repeat and expand on it.

  • My tags will include these words too.

So the buyer instantly feels: 'Yes, this is exactly what I was looking for.'


👉 The original bestseller title started with the primary keyword: 'Ultimate Canva Crash Course Guide Ebook – Master Canva With MRR / PLR, Easy Rebrand and Sell - Instant Digital Download'

But this can be taken to the next level with stronger search engine optimisation.

Here is how I used what was working well for this listing BUT optimised it with more clarity and focus for my own >>>

I focused on ONE primary long-tail keyword to rank specifically under it – so I went for:
'Canva Crash Course with Master Resell Rights and Private Label Rights'.

And then I added supporting alternatives → long-tail keywords that mean the exact same thing but are worded differently, since not everyone uses the same terms to search for the same solution/product.

→ 'Done-for-You Canva Course to Resell for 100% Profit', etc...

And once they click, they’re guided through my storytelling slides that make my audience understand what the product is about, how I've used it too for my own benefits, what it can do for them too, what it did for other people, etc...

It sells. Without having to 'sell' anything.

I FIRST SPOTTED A PROVEN BESTSELLER AND STUDIED THE OFFER

Eg: I noticed this 100-Page Tiny-Shop Kawaii Colouring Book

👉 This offer is a bestseller.
→ It shows 'In demand'
→ It’s delivered in a printable format but there is no mention of which one.
→ It shows '6 people bought this in the last 24 hours'
→ It contains 100 pages of 'Kawaii Tiny Shops Colouring Pages'
→ No bonuses
→ A few good reviews, but I also noticed some mention 'missing a swatch card' and 'some images look too similar'

I THEN RECREATED AN OPTIMISED UNIQUE VERSION BY FILLING GAPS

→ I’ve created my own designs – each one different and unique from the others.

→ I've added 150 pages (so 50 extra than the original)
→ I’ve included two swatch card printables so buyers can test and record their own marker sets.
→ I’ve also added a ready-made colour palette page with 5 themed palettes – so they can get inspiration and start using the right colour palette straight away.
→ I would also add a 'KAWAII STICKER' file as a big bonus

AND I THEN BUILT A FULLY OPTIMISED ETSY LISTING FOR IT READY TO RANK AND CONVERT
