Read Me First

I’m glad you’re here. Glad you're investing in yourself and your business journey!

I’m not sure about the exact reasons you are in business.

You may be starting out, growing or scaling right now. You may simply love crafting, making, designing and selling products from time to time. BUT I’m into business to make an impact and making profit so I can make a living out of it. I'm here to monetise my knowledge, my passions, myself.

Big chances are that you are too, if you're seeing this product.

If we both did work together on your business or you simply follow me since a while, you should now by now that I'm all about pushing you to sell digital products alongside your existing physical products for passive income within your stores.

Selling digital products is one of the smartest way to increase your AOV (average order value) AND your monthly profit.

EVERY seller SHOULD start creating digital products to serve their own niche, no matter what it is.

HOWEVER, I did notice that many of you are still thinking:

"WTH can I actually sell as a digital product that my customers would actually want/need?"

So I created this list, to give you ideas of what you can start creating and selling right away from… literally today.

There is just so many benefit to selling digital products. It’s easy to get started and they can get extremely profitable. I’m running Upstrider ONLY on digital products since February this year and I already reached 6-figure.

Selling physical AND digital products is NECESSARY if you want to start generating profit. Making sales can be challenging at first, but on top of that, you also need to think about actually making a profit.

If you manage to sell 50 products a day but barely break even, this isn’t sustainable.

BUT before you dive in the following list, I want you to think about YOUR BRAND and the outcome you offer aka the problem you solve.

We don’t want to spend 48h working on ONE digital product, another 24h on setting up a high converting product description and kick-ass SEO, and 5415145 days marketing it, if THIS ISN’T WHAT your customers want/need.

No matter how great your digital products are and how long you worked on them, they just won’t buy if the reasons they are following you, already bought from you or subscribed to your list was for reason X and you offer outcome Y and Z with your new digital products.

So YOU NEED to go through this exercise before hand.

WHY DO THEY BUY WHAT YOU SELL?

This is the question you need to ask yourself today.

Your goal is to attract people in, that have interests, aspirations and pain points in common. This is your niche: the specific problem your brand is solving that a specific group of people have in common.

FOCUS on that problem, that upgrade, that outcome.

People buy services and products to:

gain something (I call it *the vitamin effect*)

to relieve a pain (I call it *the painkiller effect*)

They ALL buy for an upgrade and a better life, no matter what the product is. (Yes, even Art!)

But what it is?

If I buy a classy Swarovski necklace from X brand, I don’t just buy it because “it’s pretty” or “looking nice.”

Deep inside, I buy that particular necklace to feel something, I buy it for:

- the way I will look once I wear it (classy)

- the way people will perceive me once I wear it (elegant, confident)

- the way I will feel once I wear it (confident, pretty, happy)

Now, the brand I buy my necklace from has one vision only = making their customers feel ___________.

Your customers should all be about that ONE outcome, lifestyle and/or the life upgrade your products are offering.

You'll be offering products to people that are part of the same community, sharing the same values, the same vision and mission, wanting the same life at the end, trying to solve a common issue.

THE PROBLEM YOU SOLVE BECOMES YOUR FOCUS.

And your products are just solutions to it.

Each product is a new solution you offering your customers to the same problem, over and over.

But your audience remains the same forever.

Generally speaking, the outcome should be very specific/niche when you start your business and will get broader as you grow and scale.

(Eg: Amazon was initially selling books online for a while.)

When done right, this is how you reach 6/7/8 figures.

So keep this in mind when creating digital products: What outcome do you offer? And so, what digital products you can create to solve that problem?

Wishing you the best on your e-com journey!
